This free online course is for parents and guardians. It shares best practices for protecting youth athletes from abuse and misconduct. It also gives an overview of the SafeSport Code—a set of policies and standards of conduct. While Participants in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement must follow the Code, it can also be used as a guide by parents and guardians of any sport organization to help create a safer sport environment for their children.
ESTIMATED TIME: 15 MINUTES
Young athletes can take this free online course with their parents or guardians. It uses interactive elements to help children understand how people should behave in a healthy sports environment. It also uses developmentally appropriate language and activities to help youth recognize and call out abuse and misconduct.
All Comets Fastpitch Coaches and Volunteers are required to have a current CDC Heads Up Concussion Training Certificate on file. In addition, we require both parents and players to review the appropriate CDC Heads Up Concussion facts sheets.
